More Information about the Funding Options
Payment Plans
This scheme is designed to make the payment of tuition fees for our BA and MA programmes more manageable. It allows students to spread the cost of their tuition fees through instalments, either termly or monthly, rather than paying the full amount upfront. This provides greater financial flexibility and can help make budgeting for study more accessible.
Am I eligible?
Students who have received and accepted an offer of a place on either our BA or MA progammes are eligible to apply for a Payment Plan if, for financial reasons, they are unable to pay the full fees by the date stated in their offer letter.
LFA offers payment options for tuition fees once the non-refundable deposit of £4,500 has been paid.
How to apply?
To apply for a Payment Plan please request an application form from Admissions by emailing admissions@londonfilmacademy.com, make payment of the Payment Plan 'Administration Fee' and provide the relevant supporting evidence when requested. Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis and successful applicants will be required to sign a formal payment agreement with LFA, known as a Payment Plan.
LFA offers a limited number of partial scholarships for eligible UK students awarded for the full 2-year BA programme. Scholarships are intended to support applicants from lower socio-economic backgrounds who demonstrate strong creative potential, commitment to their craft, and financial need. The award offers a maximum reduction of 50% off the full tuition fee. A financial review will take place before the start of Year 2 to ascertain whether a Scholar’s financial circumstances have changed and whether they require additional financial support.
Am I eligible?
To be considered for a BA scholarship, applicants must have successfully secured an offer of place, be a UK resident and be able to clearly demonstrate financial need and/or a low socio-economic background. Applicants are also required to be eligible and have made an application for a student loan from Student Finance.
How to apply
Applicants need to notify the Admissions team that they wish to be considered for a BA scholarship by emailing admissions@londonfilmacademy.com. Once applications have opened, applicants will be sent a comprehensive application form and asked to provide a financial plan, and submit a 500-word supporting statement outlining their circumstances. Applicants will also be required to provide specific documentation evidencing their financial circumstances.
Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted candidates will then be invited to an interview. Outcomes will be communicated in writing in the summer semester in line with the UCAS DBD date.

LFA Operations Support Team (OST)
The LFA Operations Support Team (OST) is a developmental opportunity for UK and International students who have graduated from one of our validated degree programmes at LFA.
The objective of the role is for graduates to provide operational support to the running of the company, while having opportunities to develop skills in specialised areas of filmmaking and earn after graduating. OST Assistants work flexibly over one year, from September to September, and gain valuable experience across the School’s day‑to‑day operations.
What does the OST role involve?
OST Assistants work across LFA on an ad‑hoc basis throughout the week and at weekends. Core activities include working with the Front of House and Facilities teams to welcome students and visitors, providing reception support, giving tours of the building to prospective students and supporting the day‑to‑day running and upkeep of LFA’s facilities, including studios, teaching spaces and communal areas.
The role also offers hands‑on opportunities to work with LFA’s Production, Kit and Post‑Production teams. This may include assisting during internal / external shoots, setting up and maintaining Edit Lab's, supporting studio maintenance and cleaning, and helping with stock checking of film kits and consumables. OST Assistants are also advocates for LFA and may support the Admissions, Marketing and Events Teams with support at virtual Open House events and in‑person events (e.g. Showcases, Open Days, UCAS - or school fairs), capturing behind‑the‑scenes content during shoots and basic editing of promotional materials.
